Aqualatus delivers massive water savings by dramatically cutting the natural water loss you would normally see in soil and other growing media through surface run-off, evaporation and leaching through the soil due to gravity.
By applying Aqualatus, moisture is locked in the root zone of the plant. Our technology is the world-leader in initial wetting and long-term rewetting of all agricultural soil and substrates.
Aqualatus is a blend of four liquid technologies working together to save water. Three are micellular technologies which are attracted to soil particles and to each other. The fourth is an organic glucose wetter used to break the surface tension of water and to deliver the micelles into the soil.
Aqualatus actively manages the movement and retention of soil moisture to significantly reduce water loss.
Aqualatus creates an equilibrium of air to water in all soils to optimise root growth and activity and prevent water-logging.
Aqualatus reaggregates soils from fine silts and clays to open sands to maintain optimal conditions for crop development.
Aqualatus is easy to apply, can be used in any soil or subtrate, any irrigation system and over any crop.
Water Management
Under the influence of the micelles contained with Aqualatus, the uniformity of water and air across the rhizosphere is between 80-100% and this provides for excellent water management.
In open soils where the Aqualatus creates an equilibrium of air and water in the micellular web, optimal moisture levels (55-65%) can be maintained to provide optimal irrigation and nutrients to support a growing crop which can produce greater yield and be far more resilient and healthier, resulting in higher quality fruits or produce.
